Why do we rarely read books?

If we wanted to gather in one place the advantages of reading books, such a list could be endless. Acquiring knowledge, developing our own interests, imagination, increasing the amount of words we use every day are only a fraction of the benefits of reading. It’s synonymous with development for me. In theory, therefore, logically approaching the subject, we should do everything to be able to read, learn and develop more.

Today a woman (a little at her own request) has more classes on her head, but this is not the only issue that distracts us from reading books. Men also have more of them.We just work harder today than in times when we miss so much. With a single click we can reach articles and news that allow us to learn regularly. We have never had such easy and quick access to knowledge before. Often deprived of propaganda, because the internet is the only place where we can directly respond to what we read and where it is easier for us to verify that what we read is true. The internet has many advantages, but it can also be a trap. You have certainly witnessed panic caused by headlines. This usually happens with various political scandals, blown up protests. People read titles and start to panic. They share such content on their social profiles, often without reading the articles to the end or not delving too much into the roots of the portal.

Although I have read weaker books, I still think that this is the most serious and comprehensive form of acquiring knowledge. No article can contain as much information as in a book. Often, a whole series of columns must be created to be able to learn more about a topic of interest to us, and even then it has no way to 300 pages of condensed dose of information. You need to be a little more prepared to write a book. After all, every author counts on some success.

But we don’t have time for books today.Even if we find one or two free hours a week, it begins to enter some kind of luxury. Reading for pleasure with today’s lifestyle and increasing expectations does not seem to be a rational choice, so yes, reading is a luxury.

Although we have more on our minds and our lifestyle has changed, no matter how much time we devote to work, hobbies, housework or social life, we can divide all these daily activities into two groups: more and less engaging.
Something that potentially distracts us from reading may not necessarily prevent us from acquiring knowledge.Especially since our divisibility of attention increases. At the same time we work, we have facebook, YouTube and news from around the world launched. We can focus on several things at once. We often listen to music while doing something.
